5 Tips to Achieve Work-Life Balance
As Monica stepped inside the house, she was met by an angry stare by her ten-year-old who’d been waiting on her mom all evening. It was past eight and now the fun game night Monica had promised her daughter seemed impossible. She was just thinking of a way to pacify her daughter when her husband texted her saying that he will be late today again and to not wait up for him. Monica sighed and decided to change her clothes before she pacified her daughter when an email from work made her phone beep. She was required to present a complete report of the quarter to the management the next morning. Monica went to her room realizing, it’s going to be a long night.
Monica is not the only one struggling with work-life balance here. We can all see a little of ourselves in her and that is why we could relate to her issues. Studies suggest that over 40% of corporate employees are going through one or the other form of depression or anxiety and that says a lot about our work-life balancing skills. We need to make that change and make it today. We have compiled a list of tips that can help you along the way.
Learn to Say NO
Understand that you can’t please everyone. Saying yes to every task that’s pushed your way or every help that is asked of you creates more work and takes more time than you think. All of this eventually leads you to struggle for time to finish your work on time and hence leads to delays and more work being pushed your way. Learn to politely refuse when you know you can’t handle something and only accept that you can finish without stress.
Plan
Understand what your deliverables are and make a plan to finish them on time. Make sure that when you submit your work there is no room for error so it isn’t returned to you with corrections. Once you begin working with efficiency, you will realize all the stress you earlier faced was
Manage your Time
Plan your week and dedicate time to each of your deliverables. Your G deliverables can range from that presentation at the office to a game night with your child. Prioritize them in order and then begin executing them. You will realize the week goes by smoothly and you not only met all your deliverables but are also more relaxed as you reach Friday.
Remember ‘You’
Now you have sorted your deliverables and delivered them and given little parts of you to everyone who needs you. But remember, such efficiency only arises from a healthy physical, mental, and spiritual body. So hit the spa and get pampered or just ask your partner to give you a nice oil massage. Alternatively, you can also hit the salon or go shopping with your friends. The activity you don’t matter as long as it replenishes you.
Take the Help
If you are still feeling like you are unable to manage your work and life together, then there is no harm in taking help from a Spiritual Healer. Spiritual Healers are also life coaches so you will not only get healed but also get guidance to manage things better in the future.
