Delayed Marriage? Unveiling the Impact of Planets on Your Love Life
In Indian philosophy, Brahmacharya, Grihastha, Vanaprastha and Sanyasa Ashrama are considered four pillars of the society. And it has been mentioned, tha the Grihasthashram is the upholder of the rest of three. This is the importance of marriage when it comes to Indian philosophy. And this Ashrama begins with marriage.
Delayed marriages are a common concern in Hindu astrology, often linked to various astrological factors and positions in a person’s birth chart, or kundli. According to astrology, certain planetary alignments and doshas (flaws) can lead to marriage problems. For instance, reasons for late marriage in kundli may include the presence of Manglik dosha or the influence of Shani Sade Sati, both of which are known to create obstacles in finding a suitable match and settling down. Understanding these astrological reasons can help in addressing and mitigating the challenges of delayed marriage.
Fortunately, Vedic astrology also offers several remedies for late marriage. These remedies, or Jyotish Upay, include specific puja (worship) rituals and other practices designed to appease the planets and reduce their negative impact. For example, performing puja for marriage or following certain do’s and don’ts for marriage can help individuals overcome delays and find marital bliss. By understanding and applying these astrological insights, individuals can work towards resolving their marriage problems and paving the way for a timely and harmonious union.
The 7th house and Marriage
In Vedic astrology, the 7th house in a person’s kundali (birth chart) is very important for understanding marriage and relationships. This house represents partnerships, including marriage, and helps astrologers see how a person’s married life might be. By looking at the planets and signs in the 7th house, astrologers can predict things like when a person might get married, what kind of partner they will have, and how their married life will be.
The 7th house can also show potential challenges in marriage. For example, if there are certain negative influences or “doshas” in this house, it might indicate delays or problems in getting married. However, Vedic astrology also offers remedies to help overcome these challenges. By understanding the 7th house and its influences, people can work towards having a happy and successful marriage.
Causes of Delayed Marriage
Malefic Planets in the 7th House
When certain planets like Saturn, Mars, Rahu, and Ketu are in the 7th house of a birth chart, they can cause delays in marriage. These planets are known as malefic planets because they can bring challenges and obstacles. For example, Saturn’s presence might make someone more serious or hesitant about marriage, while Mars can bring conflicts. Rahu and Ketu can create confusion and instability, making it harder to find the right partner at the right time.
Weak 7th Lord
The 7th house has a ruling planet called the 7th lord. If this planet is weak, such as being debilitated (in a weak sign), combust (too close to the Sun), or retrograde (appearing to move backward), it can delay marriage. A weak 7th lord means that the person’s marriage-related aspects might not be strong or favourable.
Venus and Jupiter
Venus is the planet of love and relationships, while Jupiter is the planet of growth and blessings. If these planets are weak in a person’s birth chart, it can affect marriage prospects. For example, a weak Venus might mean trouble finding love, and a weak Jupiter might mean fewer blessings in marriage. Both strong Venus and Jupiter are important for a happy and timely marriage.
Manglik Dosha
Manglik Dosha is a concept in Vedic astrology that can cause delays in marriage. It occurs when the planet Mars is in certain positions in a person’s birth chart. People with Manglik Dosha are called “Mangliks.” This dosha can lead to challenges in finding a suitable partner and can cause conflicts or problems in marriage. To reduce the effects of Manglik Dosha, astrologers might suggest specific remedies, such as performing certain rituals or marrying another Manglik to balance the energies.
Incompatibility
Another reason for delayed marriage can be the incompatibility of birth stars, or nakshatras, between two people. In Vedic astrology, each person is born under a specific nakshatra, which affects their personality and life events. If the nakshatras of two people do not match well, it can lead to difficulties in finding a compatible partner. This incompatibility can create obstacles in getting married on time. Astrological remedies, like specific pujas (worship rituals), can help reduce these incompatibilities and improve the chances of a successful marriage.
Dasha Periods
The running Mahadasha, or major period, of certain planets can also affect marriage timing. For example, if a person is going through the Mahadasha of Saturn or Rahu, it might bring delays and obstacles in their life, including marriage. These planets can create challenges and slow down the process of finding a suitable partner. Understanding the impact of these dasha periods can help individuals and their families plan better and take steps to overcome these delays, such as performing recommended rituals or following specific astrological advice.
