About Icon

He was quite young when he started predicting and reading people’s journey through his intuition and knowledge of chakra reading. This gained him a great deal of popularity. He had also predicted that India would soon have a first woman prime minister (Indira Gandhi). The prediction was published in newspapers at the time and made him an overnight rockstar guru after Indira Gandhi became the first PM of India.

He experienced the peak of his success as a guru at a very young age but also experienced major downfalls soon after the peak of success. This was when he realized that there was more to his journey and he decided to dive deeper by going into silence or Mauna in Mount Abu. This was in the year 1998 and he remained in silence for about 2 years.

Chamunda Swami Ji Vedic and meditation Specialist

When he came out of his Mauna, he earned the title of Chamunda Swami. Chamunda is one of the Tantra goddesses and Swami means master. Thus, his name essentially means master of Goddess Chamunda. However, he likes to explain it as ‘student of Goddess Chamunda.’ Guru Ji considers this phase of his journey as a new birth.

People love that Guruji is very relatable. He doesn’t look – or act – like the typical spiritual guru with a long beard and only Sanskrit verses on his tongue. He is very relatable and accessible in his videos and seminars. Kids also love him because he always gives them candy, and he’s lovingly called candy uncle by them.

He is also very family-oriented. His philosophy is that you can be a family man/woman and still experience a spiritual awakening. Therefore, he always says that you don’t have to leave your family or give up material responsibilities to access your spirituality. He resides in New York with his wife. His son, Chandresh Bhardwaj, is one of his first direct disciple and conducts spiritual talks globally. Chandresh dedicated his first book, Break the Norms, to Guruji as a token of gratitude for being accepted as his student.

He moved to the U.S in 1998. Until then, he had been practicing in India, where he was very successful. Many of his students would call him to the U.S to give talks and share his knowledge. Once, he even broadcasted from TV Asia – the only Indian broadcast channel in New Jersey.

He had done a live talk show there, where people would ask him questions live, and he would answer them, predicting very powerful things about each live caller. This extended his rockstar image to the U.S.A. These predictions were based on his intuition and his powerful connection to the higher dimensions. Thereafter, he was offered his own spiritual talk show on TV Asia titled Fortune Guide which ended up as one of the longest running shows on TV Asia. In addition, he appears regularly on his other TV shows at South Asian channels – Colors, Star Plus, Zee to name a few.

Guruji also uses Astrology in his teachings, though only as a rough blueprint of a person’s life. He says that astrology can guide a child on where to go in life, and explain their strengths and weaknesses. However, after a certain point, a person’s karmic journey begins and astrology takes a back seat. Thus, the actions we take, also called our karma, play a huge role in our lives.

However, we can go beyond our karma through Sadhna or disciplined spiritual practice, though we must be initiated into it by a Guru. Guruji places a lot of importance on this tradition of Guru and Shishya, since he gives the entire credit of his own journey to his Guru.

However, he doesn’t impose any of his own traditions on his students, but invites them to explore their own spirituality and trust the process of their awareness. Thus, he lets their spiritual strength unfold.
