Lord Shiva is a resident of the crematorium. He wears ashes on his body; hence, his form is considered terrible to look at. When he was getting married to Maa Parvati, he arrived in a blissful, pleasant, and appealing form. In this praise of Lord Shiva, his beautiful and divine form has been described. It is believed that Lord Vishnu himself had sung this praise at the time of his marriage with divine mother Parvati.
