What are Beej Mantras?
Beej mantras are the shortest form of mantras and have the potential to help you heal and grow. The word ‘beej’ means ‘seed’ and these mantras are exactly like seeds. They are small, comprising of only one or two syllables at most. However, when you combine these mantras together, they can bring you unlimited wealth and happiness.
Origin of Beej Mantras
It is said that when ancient Indian rishis and yogis went into deep meditation, they could perceive certain sounds that resonated with certain deities. It is these sounds that became beej mantras.
Thus, different beej mantras are associated with different Gods and Goddesses. In fact, chanting these beej mantras daily are the best way to appease them and attract wealth and positivity into your life.
The Various Beej Mantras
There are more than 33,000 deities in Hinduism and so there are also almost as many beej mantras. It would, therefore, be impossible to list all the beej mantras in existence. However, the most common (and the most powerful) ones are listed below:Om: Om (also Aum) is the first and most powerful of the beej mantras. It represents the holy trinity of Hinduism- Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. It is said to be the first sound that Lord Brahma uttered as he created the universe and is considered a verbal representation of the universe itself.
Kreem: Kreem is the beej mantra associated with Goddess Kali. Kali is a representation of time. Chanting this mantra regularly brings health, strength, all round success and protects you from negativity and evil energies.
Hroum: Hroum is the beej mantra associated with Lord Shiva. Chanting it regularly protects you from disease, sudden death, and accidents. It also provides liberation, immortality and complete success in life.
Hreem: Hreem is the beej mantra associated with Bhuvaneshwari Devi, also known as Mahamaya. Chanting this mantra daily makes you a leader and brings you everything you need in life.
Ayiem: Ayiem is the beej mantra associated with Goddess Saraswati. Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge and arts. Chanting this mantra regularly allows you to gain wisdom and success in any field of your choosing.
Bhram: Bhram is the beej mantra associated with Lord Bhairav. This mantra can be chanted for victory, good health and materialistic gains. It can also help with success in court cases and other such debates.
Dhham: Dhham is the beej mantra associated with Lord Kuber, who is the master of wealth. Chanting this mantra regularly brings good fortune and lots of monetary gains.
Ham: Ham is the beej mantra a representation of the Akash Tatva (the space element). Chanting this regularly awakens the Kundalini and protects us from ailments related to the space element. For example, contagious diseases.
Shreem: Shreem is the beej mantra associated with Goddess Mahalakshmi. Mahalakshmi is the Goddess of Good Fortune and chanting this mantra regularly brings wealth, health, and overall good fortune
Gam: Gam is the beej mantra associated with Lord Ganesh. Chanting this mantra protects us from all obstacles and brings wisdom, protection, happiness, wealth and fortune.
